Instructor Recruitment and Interview

The following actions are suggested for the recruitment and selection of new instructors for your Chapter:

  • Form a “New Instructor Selection Team.”  This team should be comprised of the Director of Education and current instructors (Master Level preferred).  Other Board of Director (BOD) members or academic professionals may also be included.
  • Initiate a “New Instructors Needed” email blast.  This email blast should be targeted to certified individuals only.  The Learn-Do-Teach text is provided an example for your email announcement. (Learn-Do-Teach Email Test.docx)
  • Send the interested canidates a "Prospective Instructor Letter" and a "Instructor Questionnaire" (Prospective_Instructor_Letter_Sample.docx & New_Instructor_Questionnaire.docx)
  • Use a tool, such as Excel, to summarize the candidates’ information and qualifications.  This tool can then be used to select/non-select and rank order the selected candidates. (New_Instructor_Rankings_Sample.xlsx)
  • Distribute the returned questionnaires and other pertinent documents, along with the summarized candidate information, to the New Instructor Selection Team.
